Overview
The Diploma in Midwifery Extension program is designed to upgrade the skills and knowledge of certified midwives, empowering them with advanced competencies to provide quality maternal and newborn care. This course is tailored for enrolled midwives who wish to transition to diploma-level qualifications while enhancing their professional capacity and career opportunities.

Program Objectives

Minimum Entry Requirements
To be eligible for admission into the Diploma in Midwifery Extension, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Hold a valid Certificate in Midwifery from a recognized institution.

Be registered with the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council (UNMC) or its equivalent in other countries.

Have at least 2 years of work experience in a recognized health facility.
